The JKA Indo-Pacific Championship (IPC) returns in Mauritius.
22-27 September 2026.
Initiated by our Chief Instructor Shihan Koichiro Okuma (7th Dan), the JKA Indo Pacific Cup 2026 is an international level karate event hosted in the beautiful island of Mauritius.
Combining a traditional Gasshuku (seminar) with a high-stakes championship, this event embodies the spirit and technique of the Japan Karate Association.
Designed for instructors, black belts, and kyu grades alike, the event offers a unique opportunity to train under distinguished masters from JKA Headquarters in Tokyo, test for higher ranks, and compete on an international stage.

Gasshuku
A high-intensity training environment rooted in pure JKA fundamentals — delivered with pace, precision, and discipline. Expect kihon under pressure, deep kata refinement, and kumite application built for real competition conditions. Every session is designed to sharpen timing, distance, and execution, with clean standards and direct coaching.
Exams & Grading

Dan Grading & Black Belt Exams:Official gradings up to Godan, including Black Belt examinations, subject to eligibility and JKA requirements.

Official Qualifications (as applicable): Opportunities to certify as B Instructor, C Examiner, and A Judge (during the tournament), in accordance with JKA standards and criteria.
Tournament Kata & Kumite
Three days of competition structured for performance, clarity, and fairness, aligned with official JKA standards for kata and kumite.
